Automotive Applications:
One common industrial application of electroplating is in the automotive industry. Electroplating is frequently used to refurbish old chrome parts such as bumpers, grills and tire rims to make them look brand new. Electroplating on plastic is also used for chrome-plating the lightweight but sturdy parts that are a staple of the modern automobile. Palladium plating is used in the manufacturing of catalytic converters due to its ability to absorb excess hydrogen.CORROSION PROTECTION: The industrial use of electroplating is also a popular choice in businesses when corrosion against protection is necessary to prevent the premature demise of metal materials. Nickel plating, tin plating and their various alloys are all used for corrosion protection on nuts, bolts, housings, brackets and many other metal parts and components. Gold electroplating also provides superior corrosion and tarnish protection, although it is more expensive than other plating processes.
Exhaust gas treatment equipment is divided into the following categories:
1, Absorption Equipment:
Absorption method uses low volatile or non-volatile solvents to absorb VOCs, and then use the physical properties of VOCs and absorbents to separate the difference.
VOCs containing gas from the bottom of the tower into the tower, in the ascending process with the absorbent from the top of the counter-current contact, the purified gas from the top of the tower. Absorbent VOCs through the heat exchanger after the absorber, into the top of the stripper, the temperature is higher than the absorption temperature or pressure below the absorption of desorption conditions. The desorbed absorbent is condensed in a solvent condenser and returned to the absorber. Desorbed VOCs gas through the condenser, gas-liquid separator to the more pure VOCs gas from the stripping tower, was recycled. The process is suitable for VOCs concentration higher, lower temperature gas purification, other cases need to make the appropriate process adjustments.
2, Adsorption Equipment:
When a fluid mixture is treated with a porous solid material, a component or components of the fluid may be adsorbed onto the surface and concentrated, a phenomenon known as adsorption. Adsorption of waste gas, the adsorption of the object is gaseous pollutants, gas-solid adsorption. The adsorbed gas component is called an adsorbate, and the porous solid substance is called an adsorbent.
After the adsorbate is adsorbed on the solid surface, an adsorbed adsorbate can be detached from the surface of the adsorbent. When the adsorption for a period of time, due to the concentration of surface adsorbate, so that the adsorption capacity decreased significantly adsorption purification requirements, this time need to take some measures to adsorb the adsorbed adsorbate desorption, Adsorption capacity, this process is called the regeneration of the adsorbent. Therefore, in the actual adsorption process, it is the use of adsorption-regeneration cycle of a re-adsorption process to achieve the removal of pollutants in the exhaust gas and the recovery of useful components in the exhaust gas.
3, Organic Waste Gas Combustion and Catalytic Purification Equipment:
The combustion process is effective for treating high concentrations of Voc and malodorous compounds. The principle is that these contaminants are burned with excess air, most of which produce carbon dioxide and water vapor and can be released to the atmosphere. However, in the treatment of chlorine and sulfur containing organic compounds, combustion produces HCl or SO2 in the product, which requires further treatment of the combustion gases.
